Condition Report
An early 19th century gold mourning brooch. Of rectangular-shape outline, the inner ivory panel, with overlaid arranged hair bow and central split pearl detail. Inscription to reverse reads 'Feb 10th 1815'. Length 2cms. Weight 3.2gms.

Purchasing information-
Overall condition fair. There are scratches and areas of discolouration to the brooch in keeping with general age and wear. There are some shallow dents visible to the reverse of the brooch, there is an area of significant staining. There are a couple of cracks visible to the ivory panelling and some of the painted detail has faded. The hair is in good condition. A couple of white dots surmounting the split pearl appear to have become detached and are loose beneath the glass. The collet to the glass appears dented and worn. Attached later safety chain. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
