Condition Report
A spinel and diamond cluster ring. The cushion-shape red spinel, weighing 1.18cts, within an old, single and brilliant-cut diamond surround, to the tapered band. Accompanied by report number 5775-1714, dated 31st March 2015, from the Gemmological Certification Services, stating that the spinel is natural with no indications of heating, origin opinion Sri Lanka. Estimated total diamond weight 0.50ct. Weight 10.3gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition fair to good. Some surface wear and discolouration in keeping with general wear.
- Evidence of alterations. Cluster possibly adapted from another item of jewellery. Evidence of repairs to the cluster gallery. Several replacement diamonds.
- Band shows evidence of resize. Deep scratches and discolouration to the back of the band.
- Diamonds fairly bright, differ slightly in hue. Some have more of a slight yellow hue than others. Scattered to large inclusions, some visible to the unaided eye.
- Diamonds in fair to good condition, some with minor abrasion, some with significant nicks, one chipped.
- Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
- Spinel orangish-red, moderate colour saturation. Fairly good clarity with typical inclusions visible to the unaided eye. Please refer to the report for further information of the spinel.
- Stone in fair condition with nicks and nibbles to the facet edges.
