Condition Report

A late 19th century silver and 9ct gold diamond cluster brooch. The old-cut diamond cluster, within a similarly-cut diamond scrolling surround. Estimated total diamond weight 2.40cts, I-L colour, SI1-P2 clarity. Length 2.7cms. Weight 7.7gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Areas of tarnishing to the silver setting, some settings may need to be secured.
  • Possible replacement catch to brooch fitting
  • Chip to girdle of central diamond, surface reaching inclusions to some diamonds.
  • Diamonds well matched. One diamond appears to be drawing significantly more yellow.
  • Diamonds fairly bright.
