George II silver spirit kettle by Lewis Pantin I.

A George II silver kettle on spirit stand by Lewis Pantin I, of lobed bullet form, crested to both sides, the shoulders of the kettle with rocaille chased decoration, scroll mounts to the spout, turned ebonised handle and similarly decorated tri-form base with openwork cast aprons with central medallions. Hallmarked Lewis Pantin I, London 1733. Maximum height inclusive of handle 16 inches (40.5 cm), gross weight 107.8 ozt (3353 grams). The kettle bears the conjugal arms of Thomas Neave (1761-1848), eldest son of Sir Richard Neave, 1st baronet (1795), Governor of the Bank of England and Frances Caroline ( ?-1835), daughter of the Very Rev. Hon. William Digby, Dean of Durham, who were married in 1791. The arms are impaled with a shield for the augmentation of a Baronet signifying its date after 1814 when Sir Richard Neave, 1st baronet died.

Purchasing information-
In good overall condition. The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some patched repairs to the top edge of the stand. Small hole to mount of handle. Corresponding hallmarks to kettle and stand, both clear and legible.
