Condition Report

A late 19th century gold, turquoise and split pearl brooch. Designed as three graduated circular turquoise cabochons, each within a square-shape surround, spaced along the split pearl accent spiral bar. 56 zolotnik mark. Length 5.3cms. Weight 8.6gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Deeper scratches to side of central square-shape panel, general slight discolouration.
  • Slight wear to the gilt finish.
  • Pin slightly bent.
  • Split pearls show moderate discolouration and wear, fairly well matched.
  • Turquoise slightly irregular cabochons in a light blue through lightly greenish light blue hue, minor matrix visible.

  • Turquoise in good condition with minor to moderate abrasions.

  • Fifty-six zolotnik mark to pin, with mastermark, worn, illegible.
