A late 19th century silver and gold diamond brooch.

Condition Report

A late 19th century silver and gold diamond brooch. Designed as a rose-cut diamond quatrefoil line, with similarly-cut diamond spacers and terminals, to the similarly-designed diamond graduated line sides. Length 6.3cms. Weight 8.7gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair. Some surface scratches, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Replacement base metal clasp. Later safety chain.
  • Knife-edge bars with slight dents.
  • Many claws repaired, possible complete replacement of diamonds.
  • Diamonds bright and well matched.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Few scattered inclusions.

  • Some small nibbles to few of the diamonds.
