Condition Report

An early 20th century 14ct gold amethyst and diamond hinged bangle. The circular-shape amethyst, with graduated old-cut diamond sides, atop the openwork tapered bangle. Estimated total diamond weight 0.50ct. Inner diameter 6cms. Weight 14.9gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and small dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Bars of bangle appear slightly dented to the back-half.
  • Claws bent, some with wear, some possible replacement gems, settings may require attention.
  • Diamonds bright and well matched.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Small, scattered inclusions.

  • Amethyst is a medium slightly pinkish purple hue, well saturated, with slight colour zoning and good clarity.

  • Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.
