Condition Report

An opal ring. The oval opal cabochon, to the mid 20th century 22ct gold band. Band with hallmarks for Birmingham, 1942. Total weight 4.3gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches in keeping with general wear.

  • Opal is a later addition to the band.
  • Residue of adhesive seen to the reverse and sides of the opal.

  • Opal white with good play-of-colour, showing predominately green and blue hues.

  • Opal in good condition with some abrasion and scratches to the surface.

  • Ring size P1/2.
