Condition Report

A 9ct gold sapphire and diamond dress ring. The oval-shape sapphire collet, with single-cut diamond chevron sides, to the brick-link design shoulders and plain half-band. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1991. Weight 3.3gms.

  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general wear.
  • Diamonds fairly bright.

  • Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Sapphire dark blue, moderate to poor saturation, with profuse inclusions that affect the passage of light through the stone.

  • Stone in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
