A pair of late Victorian gold garnet ear pendants.

Condition Report

A pair of late Victorian gold garnet ear pendants. Each designed as a cannetille tapered loop, with oval-shape garnet highlight, suspended from a similarly-designed loop surmount from a buckle spacer. Length 4cms. Weight 4.6gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Small cannetille losses.
  • Fittings replacements, with slight discolouration and minor soft solder.
  • Slight wear to claws, possible replacement gems.
  • Garnets in closed back settings, possibly foil back. Garnets appear a medium purplish red hue, well saturated, with typical inclusions.

  • Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.

  • Hook fittings for pierced ears.
