Condition Report

An opal bar brooch. Comprising a graduated oval opal cabochon line, to the plain bar. Length 5.7cms. Weight 5.5gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Deeper scratches to reverse with associated discolouration.
  • Base metal pin and clasp.
  • Opals and mounts later additions to the bar, soft solder visible.
  • Opals are fairly well matched with good to fair play of colour, predominantly green and orange hues.

  • Varying abrasion, one opal with a noticeable chip.
