A pair of 19th century Derbyshire Spar urns. Probably 'Duke's Red,' Chatsworth Estate In the French Louis XIV taste, each of neoclassical shouldered ovoid form and reddish striated hue, with domed finial and laurel collar over waisted neck, cast ram's heads and floral swags, on a medial ribbed band and a flared socle with 'plaited' gilt metal band on square plinth, 375mm high, 5,118gms and 5,151gms (total 10,269gms), (2).
