Condition Report

A George III 18ct gold memorial ring with replacement amethyst. The marquise-shape cabochon amethyst with beaded surround and foliate engraved tapered shoulders, to the memorial inscription to the reverse. Amethyst loose. Weight 13.7gms.

Purchasing information
    This lot is in good to fair condition, with light scratches and dents to the metal in keeping with age and wear. The stone is a replacement and is loose, with minimal scratches to the surface. There is a small area of light abrasion to one side, though this may polish out. The inscription is only partly legible, the date '1788' is visible. Ring size Q.
