Condition Report

An 18ct gold late Victorian mourning brooch. The square-shape brooch with fleur-de-lys to each corner and a spherical bead to the centre, with woven hair panel to the reverse. Length 3cms. Weight 7.2gms.

Purchasing information
    This lot is in good to fair condition, with light scratches and dents to the metal in keeping with age and wear. The central spherical bead has lost some of its textured finish due to rubbing with wear. The glazed panel over the woven hair is scuffed to the surface. There is visible solder to one side of the pin, which may have been replaced.
