A George IV 18ct gold enamel memorial ring.

Condition Report

A George IV 18ct gold enamel memorial ring. The band engraved in equally spaced lines, with 'In memory of' in black enamel over to the undulating band with striped black enamel border and inscription to the inner surface. Hallmark for London, 1829. Ring size O. Weight 7.6gms.

Purchasing information
    This lot is in good to fair condition, with light scratches and dents to the metal in keeping with age and wear. Some of the striped enamel detail to the ring border is deficient. Inscriptions to the inner surface read 'Wm Garnett who died 30 Nov 1829 aged 65 ys' and 'Sarah Garnett Ob May 3rd 1844 aged 77'. The latter inscription is slightly worn but still legible.
