A late 19th century gold and amethyst brooch. The oval-shape amethyst, within a floral scrolling cannetille surround. Length 3.2cms. Weight 9.3gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition fair. Surface scratches, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Brooch shows evidence of repair to the surround.
- It has a replacement base metal pin.
- Cannetille surround is deficient in one localised area.
- Amethyst medium purple, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions to the side of the stone.
