Condition Report

A mid 19th century 9ct gold split and seed pearl memorial brooch. Of marquise-shape outline, the seed pearl floral basket motif, atop a foil backed blue glass navette, within a split pearl surround. Length 3.7cms. Weight 7gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Some seed pearls loose within the mount.
  • Seed pearls untested for natural origin.
  • Some slight glue discolouration to some of the flowers in the basket motif.
  • Split and seed pearls fairly well matched with a creamy white hue. Some with moderate discolouration.
  • Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
