Condition Report

A diamond and emerald brooch. The scrolling foliate embossed panel, with cushion and pear-shape emerald and old-cut diamond highlights, suspending a tassel fringe. Estimated total diamond weight 0.50ct. Length 7.5cms. Weight 16gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Many gems appear moderately ill-fitting to mounts, possible replacement gems.
  • Diamonds fairly well matched.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Diamonds with dark, scattered inclusions, some appearing slightly grey.
  • Total emerald weight 1.79cts.
  • Emeralds in closed settings, possibly foil back. Emeralds appear a well matched medium slightly bluish green hue, with fair clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Stones in good to fair condition with minor abrasions, few minor, small chips.
