Condition Report
An early Victorian gold, sapphire, split pearl and diamond memorial ring. The oval-shape foil-back sapphire, within a split pearl and single-cut diamond double surround. Personal engraving to reverse, 'My dear Friend, Ob't 17 Dec'r 1844 At 52'. Weight 4.7gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition fair. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Band shows evidence of repair/ resize. Pitting, slight discolouration. Worn maker's mark visible.
- Replacement gems, evidence of re-working to the mounts.
- Diamonds well matched.
- Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
- Sapphire is foil back, within a clsoed setting. Sapphire appears a dark blue hue, well saturated, with fair to good clarity and typical inclusions.
- Stones in fair to good condition with moderate abrasions and small nicks.
- Split pearls with varying wear to the outer layers.
- Ring size K.
