Condition Report

An early 20th century gold aquamarine and seed pearl necklace. The pear-shape aquamarine drop, suspended from a seed pearl accent knife-edge bar, to the circular-shape aquamarine surmount and seed pearl accent knife-edge bar sides, with integral trace-link chain. Length of pendant 5cms. Length of chain 33cms. Weight 3.4gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • One knife-edge bar side slightly bent.
  • Seed pearls untested for natural origin.
  • Seed pearls fairly well matched, slightly differing shape and lustre.
  • Aquamarine are a well matched light slightly greenish blue hue, with good clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.

  • Replacement base metal jump ring at clasp. Clasp probable replacement. Clasp stamped 9ct.
