Condition Report

An early Victorian gem-set memorial ring. The two woven hair panels, within a split pearl surround, to the circular-shape garnet highlights and tapered shoulders. One split pearl deficient.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair. Surface scratches, discolouration and dents in keeping with general wear.

  • Weight 4.4gms. It's base metal.

  • one split pearl deficient.

  • Split pearls with white body colour and nacre damage due to age.

  • Garnet medium pinkish-purple, fairly well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.

  • Ring size approximately N 1/2.

  • Suspected base metal.
