Condition Report

Two rectangular-shape memorial brooches. To include a George IV gold paste memorial brooch, designed as a hair panel within a circular-shape black paste surround, with personal inscription to the reverse, together with a mid Victorian memorial brooch with central woven hair panel to the split pearl surround. One paste deficient. Lengths 1.7 to 2cms. Weight 6.7gms.

Purchasing information
    Overall condition fair to good. Some surface wear in keeping with age and general wear. The first brooch has a replacement pin. Abrasion and some green staining to the hair panel. Black pastes in fair condition with some abrasion and nicks. Inscription reads 'R.J. Died 5th Feb 1822 Aged 36'. Second brooch has some dirt and discolouration to the seed pearl surround in keeping with age. Discoloured patch to the reverse of the brooch.
