Condition Report

An early 20th century 15ct gold gem-set pendant and 9ct gold chain. The scrolling foliate openwork pendant with aquamarine and split pearl highlights, suspended from a near period 9ct gold belcher-link-and-bar chain. Length of pendant 4cms. Length of chain 42cms. Total weight 5.6gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Aquamarine well matched.

  • Aquamarine light to medium very slightly greenish-blue, moderate saturation, with good clarity and some typical inclusions visible under 10X magnification.

  • Aquamarine in good condition with minor abrasions, some very small nibbles can be seen to some facet edges under magnification.

  • Split pearls slightly creamy-white, moderate lustre, with some surface abrasion and peeling.

  • Pendant stamped 15ct.

  • Chain with import marks for London, 1978.
