Description

Condition Report

An early 20th century opal 9ct gold and split pearl pendant. The circular opal cabochon, within a split pearl openwork surround, to the split pearl tapered surmount and later curb-link chain. Length of pendant 4.7cms. Length of chain 43.7cms. Total weight 5.9gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Opal has a white body colour with green and blue flashes of colour typical inclusions.

  • Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.

  • split pearls, have poor skins, creamy colour with olive and rose overtones
