Condition Report

An early 19th century 18ct gold memorial ring. Designed as a central oval-shape cabochon garnet, with eight cultured pearls to the surround, to the black enamel and scrolling shoulders with personalised inscription to the reverse. Hallmark for London, 1834. Ring size N. Weight 3.6gms.

Purchasing information
    The condition of this lot is good to fair with surface scratches to the gold, garnet and cultured pearls in keeping with age and wear. Scuffing to garnet surface and pitting to enamel. The inscription reads 'Frances Paynter Esq Obt 7 June 1834 At 73'.
