Condition Report
A mid Victorian silver diamond and emerald brooch. Designed as an old-cut diamond scrolling bow, suspending a replacement rose-cut diamond and free-form emerald drop. Estimated total old-cut diamond weight 1ct, principal diamond estimated J-K colour, SI clarity. Length 2.8cms. Weight 4.4gms. With later case.

Purchasing information- Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Emerald and diamond drop is probable replacement.
- Diamonds fairly well matched.
- Diamonds fairly bright.
- Diamonds assessed within the limitations of the setting. Principal diamond with closed back setting.
- Emerald medium blueish-green, well saturated, with poor clarity and profuse inclusions.
- Emerald with surface reaching inclusions, some of which have associated cavities. Durability may be affected.
- Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
- Piece is accompanied by a red leather S.J.Phillips case.
