Condition Report

An early 20th century 18ct gold diamond and emerald five-stone ring. The alternating graduated old-cut diamond and rectangular-shape emerald line, to the scrolling gallery and tapered band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.35ct, H-I colour, P1 clarity. Ring size Q. Weight 2.9gms.

  • Overall condition fair. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Noticeable wear to the gallery. Some claws re-tipped.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Diamonds bright with surface nicks/cavities.
  • Emeralds are a well matched medium slightly bluish green, well saturated, with fair to good clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges, one slightly larger chip to one corner.
