Condition Report

Two 18ct gold diamond and gem-set dress rings. To include a early 20th century opal and diamond ring, together with a ruby and diamond ring. One diamond deficient. Estimated total diamond weight 0.10ct. One with Import marks for Edinburgh, 1982. Weight 4.9gms.

  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • One diamond deficient.
  • Diamonds fairly well matched.
  • Diamonds fairly bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Significant chip to one opal and visible abrasion to all. Some smaller chips visible to one.
  • Dark inclusion to one of the rose-cut diamonds easily visible with the unaided eye
  • Rubies medium dark purplish red with a moderate saturation of colour.
  • Chip visible to one of the outer rubies and visible abrasion to the facet edges.
  • Ring sizes K and J.
