A mid Victorian hand painted portrait miniature mourning brooch. Of oval outline, the portrait of a gentleman of the era wearing a black coat, to the glazed decorative hair panel with split pearl detail to the reverse. Length 6.6cms. Weight 29gms.

This lot is in fair condition, with scratches, dints and tarnish to the metal surface in keeping with age and wear. The glass is lightly scratched to both sides. Dirt particles visible beneath the glass hair panel. Pin bent to the pointed end.Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
