Condition Report

An Edwardian 18ct gold ruby three-stone and diamond ring. The graduated circular-shape ruby line, with old-cut diamond double spacers, to the scrolling foliate shoulders and plain band. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1902. Ring size K 1/2. Weight 2.9gms.

  • Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Diamond fairly well matched.
  • Diamonds fairly bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • One diamond is not set perfectly straight in its setting. Possible replacement.
  • Many of the claws are worn and will need attention.
  • Rubies medium red to orange red, fairly well saturated, with moderate clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
