Condition Report

Two mid to late Victorian gold gem-set rings. To include a 15ct gold split pearl two-row ring, together with a sapphire and split pearl dress ring. One with hallmarks for Birmingham, 1868. Total weight 5.4gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Significant wear to sapphire collet mount.
  • Sapphire ring with replacement half-band, stamped 15ct, pitting near joins.
  • Sapphire is a medium deep blue hue, well saturated with noticeable colour zoning and good clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Sapphire in good condition with minor abrasions.

  • Split pearls well matched.
  • Glue visible to some mounts.
  • Significant wear to some split pearls in sapphire ring.
  • Ring size M.
