A garnet and split pearl mourning brooch. The rectangular-shape vacant panel, within a split pearl and foil-back circular-shape garnet surround. Length 2.5cms. Weight 3.5gms

Purchasing information- Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- The brooch appears to have been put together from various components, visible join marks to the surround.
- Visible blisters and blemishes to the split pearls.
- Stamped 9ct to reverse.
- Conchoidal fracture visible to one garnet, slight abrasion to the others.
- The garnets vary in colour, some more brown and others more purple, typical inclusions visible with magnification.
