Purchasing information-
The jug appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying some general wear, surface scratches and marks, in keeping with the age and general use. The silver mounts are quite tarnished and would benefit from a clean and polish. Hinged lid in good working order, however it is likely that there would have been a thumb piece to the top which has either been removed or broken off as remnants remain. Heavier scratches to areas of the glass and minor nicks. The hallmarks are clear and legible, also with clear part hallmarks and pattern number 5552 to the foot rim.
