A matched set of four Georgian & Victorian open salts.

Condition Report

A matched set of four Georgian and Victorian open salts, each of cauldron shape with a floral scroll rim and raised on four leaf capped paw feet. Only remnants of hallmarks remaining, two likely George III, one Victorian and the last with marks completely worn away. Gross weight 14.08 ozt (438 grams).

Purchasing information
    All four salts display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Several dints and bumps to main bodies, some fairly large. Also loss of detail and some flattening to decoration. Heavy impression from foot visible to Victorian salt. A couple with remnants of a crest. Hallmarks are very worn. Maker's mark 'JA' just visible to one of the Georgian salts.
