Condition Report

An early 20th century 18ct gold jade ring. The oval jadeite cabochon, to the stylised foliate openwork sides and plain half-band. Hallmarks for Edinburgh, 1917. Weight 6.8gms. Jade untested.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Band shows evidience of resize, slightly out of round, discoloured line and wear to the hallmarks.
  • Jade is fairly loose within the mount, may require attention.
  • Jadeite is a mottled light to medium green hue, significant surface abrasions.
  • Estimated dimensions of jade: 18.1 by 12.5 by 4.5mms.
