Condition Report

Two 18ct gold diamond and gem-set rings. To include an early 20th century red paste and split pearl ring with diamond point foliate sides, together with a square-shape ruby and illusion-set brilliant-cut diamond three-stone ring. One with hallmarks for London, 1977. One with French assay marks. Total weight 4.7gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Early 20th century ring shows slight evidence of repair/resize. Scratchews and acid discolouration to inside of the band.
  • Red paste with noticeable chip.
  • One diamond point deficient to foliate sides.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Ruby is a medium purplish red hue, with fair to good clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Stones in fair condition with minor abrasions, ruby with small nicks, red paste with more noticeable chip.

  • Ring size M and M1/2.
