MURRLE BENNETT & CO. - an early 20th century 15ct gold gem-set brooch. Of chevron outline, the oval turquoise cabochon and split pearl, to the stylised foliate sides. Maker's marks for Murrle Bennett & Co. Length 2.2cms. Weight 2.6gms.

  • Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Discolouration to the pin clasp.
  • Split pearl with cream body colour and chalky lustre due to nacre damage.
  • Turquoise blue, with dark matrix present.
  • Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.
