Condition Report
A mid 19th century gold gem-set heart locket clasp. The diamond and gem-set 'regard' acrostic pansy, to the scrolling foliate embossed and wirework heart, with snake hinged clasp surmount and glazed reverse. Length 3.5cms. Weight 8.7gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Small area of slightly deeper scratches.
- Diamond appears bright with relatively few, small, scattered dark inclusions.
- Estimated diamond weight less than 0.10ct.
- Individual size and setting of diamond prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
- Possible replacement gems, some appear set at slight angles within the settings, some wear to some settings.
- Gems assumed foil back.
- Hinge to snake clasp slightly bent outwards, may require attention.
