Condition Report

A 9ct gold ruby and diamond bangle. The brilliant-cut diamond and circular-shape ruby cluster, to the similarly-set sides and openwork half-bangle. Estimated total diamond weight 0.30ct. Hallmarks for London, 1988. Inner diameter 5.9cms. Weight 11.1gms.

  • Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Dents visible to the bangle in places.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Profuse inclusions to some diamonds visible with the unaided eye.
  • Rubies medium brownish red and pinkish red, weak to moderate saturation of colour, with fair clarity and typical inclusions visible with the unaided eye.

  • Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.

  • With safety chain.
