Condition Report

An Edwardian 9ct gold opal and split pearl ring. The heart-shape opal cabochon, with split pearl scalloped sides and plain band. Hallmarks for Chester, 1903. Ring size Q 1/2. Weight 1.9gms.

  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Discolouration to the mount at the heart.
  • Significant wear and discolouration to the split pearls.
  • Opal with fair to good play of colour, predominantly green and blue hues.

  • Opal in fair condition with significant surface abrasions and some small nicks.
