Condition Report

CARTIER - a Tank Francaise Chronoflex chronograph bracelet watch. Stainless steel case. Reference 2303, serial 150216BB. Signed quartz calibre 212P with quick date set. Silvered dial with Roman numeral hour markers, subsidiary recorder dials to four, eight and twelve. Fitted to a signed bi-metal bracelet with folding clasp. 28mm. Papers.

Purchasing information
  • Movement is currently functioning. Chronograph is not functioning correctly however. The second counter moves correctly but the subsidiary recorder dials to not change in accordance with the minutes. This will require attention.
  • Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible when viewed under a 4x loupe. The seal from the case back is missing. Quick date set is not functioning.
  • Dial appears to be in a generally good condition with no marks visible when viewed under a 4x loupe. There is a small mark on the dial close to the five o'clock hour marker.
  • Hands show noticeable marks and tarnishing.
  • Glass has some scratches and marks when viewed under a 4x loupe.
  • Case shows light scratches and marks. The screws to the case back show heavy damage to the screw heads. They do not screw down fully and therefore are not flush to the case back. These may require attention.
  • Crown is not currently functioning correctly; the surface has light scratches and marking. Quick date and hand set are both not working.
  • Bracelet has medium scratches and some signs of stretching to links.
  • Clasp is currently functioning and shows visible scratches and marks.
  • Bracelet measures approximately 19cm including case.

    This lot does not come with a box, but comes with papers to consist of a guarantee dated 16.9.00.

    Due to opening of the case back we recommend this watch is re-sealed by an authorised technician to ensure any stated water resistance is retained.
