Condition Report
A late Victorian gold gem-set fly bar brooch, circa 1900. The fly with oval opal cabochon body, ruby eyes and split pearl head and wings, atop a knife-edge bar. Length 3.8cms. Weight 2.5gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition good to fair. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Bar shows slight dents.
- Split pearls well matched, with creamy grey hue.
- Opal with fair play of colour, predominantly green and orange hues.
- Opal with small chip to edge of the cabochon.
- Rubies are a well matched slightly pinkish red hue.
- Approximate length of fly 1.6cms.
