Condition Report

Four early 20th century gold gem-set bar brooches. To include a 15ct gold imitation pearl heart brooch, a 15ct gold peridot and split pearl brooch, a 9ct gold amethyst foliate brooch, together with an opal doublet brooch. Length 3.5 to 5.1cms. Total weight 9.3gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Possible replacement pins, at least one base metal.
  • Some replacement gems, wear to some mounts.
  • Opal doublet has some areas of white where the glue has lifted.
  • Peridot are a yellowy green hue, moderate abrasion and small nicks to facet-edges.
  • Amethyst is a medium light purple hue.
  • Two stamped 15ct, one stamped 9ct.
