Condition Report

An Edwardian silver bachelor teapot, of part fluted crescent form having presentation inscription, hallmarked Birmingham 1906, length measures 8 4/8 inches (21.5 cm). Together with a late Victorian silver mounted glass scent bottle modelled as a thistle with hobnail cut decoration, Birmingham 1897, height inclusive of stopper 5 6/8 inches (14.5 cm), plus another of plain bottle form, Levi & Salaman, Birmingham 1913/4, 5 4/8 inches (14 cm). Gross weight of teapot 7.14 ozt (222.2 grams).

Purchasing information
    The teapot is in poor condition displaying heavy rubbing, wear and areas of tarnishing, with few small dents and knocks to body plus areas of scratching, the hinge has slight distortion and so the cover does not sit straight. The hallmarks to the teapot are rubbed and maker's mark illegible, appears possibly miss-struck. The thistle scent bottle is cracked and damaged to glass beneath collar and other small knocks to body, the collar is worn and tarnished with hallmarks heavily rubbed and maker's mark illegible. Other glass bottle in fair condition displaying signs of wear and use, silver collar and cover are both worn but hallmarks are legible.
