An early Victorian split-pearl gem-set ring. The pink gem within a split pearl floral surround, between graduated bead and split sides with a memorial engraved band reading, 'Jane Colquhoun Died 3d May 1844. One split pearl deficient. Approximate ring size O.

Purchasing information- Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Pink-gem bright slightly reddish-pink, well saturated, with fair clarity and typical inclusions.
- Split pearls vary in appearance and condition.
- Split pearls with a creamy-white body colour, rose and green overtones, with fair to moderately good lustre and mostly even skins.
- Split pearls in fairly good to fairly poor condition, some are significantly chipped, with areas of nacre deficient.
- Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
