Condition Report

Two late 19th century gold split pearl brooches. The first designed as an arrow piercing an old-cut diamond and split pearl cluster heart, the second designed as a split pearl cluster with split pearl foliate detail. Lengths 4.4 and 4.5cms. Weight 5.7gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Diamonds fairly bright.

  • Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • diamond in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.

  • Split pearls are a creamy-white colour, with rose and greenish overtones.
  • Fairly good skins with some surface blemishes, to include pits.
  • Minor nacre damage to some.
