Condition Report

An Edwardian 9ct gold gem-set pendant. Of openwork design, the oval-shape amethyst, suspended from a demantoid garnet and split pearl scrolling floral heart and split pearl surmount. Length 3.7cms. Weight 2.1gms. This piece has the colours associated with the suffragette movement.

  • Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/ wear and slight discolouration in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Amethyst is a deep purple hue, moderate colour zoning. The demantoid garnet is a moderately yellowish green hue.

  • Demantoid garnet with moderate facet-edge abrasion.
  • Split pearls are well matched with slight discolouration.
  • Stamped 9ct.
