Condition Report

A late Victorian gold multi-gem necklace. The oval and cushion-shape graduated gemstones, to include vari-hue sapphire, garnet and zircon, each suspended from a knife-edge bar, to the trace-link chain. Length 42.4cms. Weight 9.1gms. With case.

  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Some claws significantly worn, may require attention.
  • Gemstones include but not limited to topaz, sapphire, zircon, garnet and spinel.
  • Gems generally bright, with medium to deep medium hues. Varied inclusions, some eye visible, some surface reaching.
  • Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.

  • Approximate length range of gemstones 9.7 to 4.7mms.
  • Case with moderate wear.
