A late Victorian silver and gold, diamond, sapphire and ruby flags brooch. Comprising the crossed flags of France and Russia, tied with a rose-cut diamond ribbon, to the knife-edge bar, probably alluding to the Franco-Russian alliance in effect from the mid 1890s through to the First World War. Estimated total diamond weight 0.15ct. Length 3.9cms. Weight 2.8gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Discolouration to the flag poles and ribbon.
- Diamonds well matched.
- Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
- Rubies are a well matched deep medium slightly purplish red hue.
- Sapphires are a well matched medium blue hue.
- Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.
- Length of flag section 1.8cms.
