A pair of George III silver open salts by Hester Bateman of cauldron form, rope-twist rim and standing on three hoof feet. Hallmarked Hester Bateman, London 1778. Maximum diameter measuring 2 3/8 inches (6 cm), gross weight 2.4 ozt (77 grams). Part of a private collection of Hester Bateman.
